Design Details
Obverse
The obverse features the iconic Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman, originally introduced in 1916. Lady Liberty is shown striding confidently toward the rising sun, symbolizing hope and renewal. Draped in the American flag, she extends her right arm in a gesture of freedom while holding oak branches in her left arm to represent strength and endurance. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” the year of issue, and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
Reverse
The reverse displays the original heraldic eagle design used on American Silver Eagles prior to 2021. The eagle is shown with wings outstretched and a shield on its chest, symbolizing national unity and strength. A banner reading “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is held in its beak, while thirteen stars above represent the original colonies. The eagle clutches an olive branch and arrows in its talons, signifying peace and readiness to defend. Encircling inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
