The obverse of the 2019 Australian Silver Swan Coin presents Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief, depicted in the sixth-generation portrait created by Jody Clark. First introduced in 2015, this effigy made its debut in the Silver Swan series with the 2019 release, adding historical significance to the issue.
The reverse design continues the series’ evolving portrayal of swans in their natural setting. After featuring a single swan in 2017 and an adult with a hatchling in 2018, the 2019 release expands the narrative to a full family scene. An adult swan and hatchling dominate the foreground, while a second adult appears in the background, creating a refined and balanced composition that reflects the series’ artistic progression.
