Design Details
 
The Chiwoo Cheonwang series draws inspiration from ancient legends surrounding the warrior-king of the Chiwoo Empire. According to mythology, Chiwoo led his forces with unmatched strength and courage in battles against rival forces threatening his prosperous empire.

Obverse
 
The obverse features the gwi-myeon-wa shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang, a fierce mask-like design inspired by historic Korean artifacts. The 2021 version continues the design introduced in 2020, highlighting stronger facial features and prominent bull horns. The design is based on a historic artifact preserved by the Gyeongju National Museum of the Republic of Korea and includes a lenticular security feature.
 
Reverse
 
The reverse depicts Chiwoo Cheonwang in full battle attire, striking a traditional war drum with powerful force. Lightning bolts surge from the drum as warriors on horseback charge into battle behind him, creating a dynamic scene that captures the intensity and command of the legendary warrior.
