The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, a classic third-generation portrait used by The Royal Mint from 1985 to 1997. The Queen is shown wearing the George IV State Diadem, creating a timeless and dignified presentation of the late monarch.

The reverse showcases the allegorical figure Truth, depicted in graceful left-profile relief. She holds a mirror in her right hand—symbolizing reflection, clarity, and honesty—while extending her left arm to comfort a small child beside her.
