When people hear “The Mummy” most think of the popular 1999 Brendan Fraser film. While the character of the mummy was created specifically for film, the first “The Mummy” movie was actually made in 1932. With the recent success of “Dracula” and “Frankenstein,” Universal Studios was looking for more ideas to corner the horror genre market. Thus, “The Mummy” was born.
