Item Description

Aphrodite was the ancient Greek goddess of love, beauty, desire, and sexuality. Known for her irresistible charm and divine allure, she possessed the power to captivate both gods and mortals alike. Through beauty, persuasion, and whispered promises, Aphrodite could inspire powerful emotions, romance, and even scandalous affairs among those who fell under her influence.

According to Greek mythology, Aphrodite was born from the sea near Cyprus after the severed remains of the sky god Uranus fell into the ocean. From the sea foam emerged the radiant goddess, symbolizing both the creative and dangerous forces of passion and attraction.

While most commonly remembered as the goddess of love, Aphrodite held a far broader significance in ancient Greek culture. She was worshipped by men, women, and even city-state leaders, and was associated with aspects of commerce, politics, warfare, and social influence.

Aphrodite was also honored as a protector of sailors and travelers by sea. In Roman mythology, her equivalent was the goddess Venus.
