Design Details
 
The obverse design centers on the Infinity symbol, traditionally represented as a sideways figure eight. In this rendition, the symbol is formed by a serpent consuming its own tail, an ancient motif signifying continuity, renewal, and the concept of beginning and ending at the same point. The inscriptions “INFINITY” at the top and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” at the bottom frame the design, while the initials “QE” reference Quantitative Easing, a non-traditional monetary policy employed by central banks to stimulate economic activity.
 
The reverse features the iconic All-Seeing Eye positioned above a stepped pyramid, a recurring visual element throughout the series. Arching above the pyramid is the series title, “THE AWAKENING.” Below the central imagery appears the Roman numeral “MDCCLXXVI,” representing the year 1776, when the United States declared independence from Great Britain. A banner bearing the Latin phrase “ANNUIT COEPTIS,” meaning “God has favored our undertakings,” mirrors the inscription found on the Great Seal of the United States. Completing the design, the phrase “YOU CAN’T WAKE A PERSON WHO IS PRETENDING TO BE ASLEEP” encircles the lower rim, reinforcing the overarching theme of awareness and awakening.
