The Perth Mint introduced the 1 oz Silver Kangaroo Brilliant Uncirculated coin in 2015 with a limited mintage of just 300,000 pieces. Beginning in 2016, the series transitioned to annual releases with unlimited mintages. Each coin is struck in .9999 fine silver and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965.
