The 2024 Germania 1 oz Silver Valkyrie Solveig (BU) marks the third release in the acclaimed Valkyries Series from Germania Mint. Inspired by Germanic mythology, the Valkyries are legendary daughters of Odin who guided fallen warriors to glory. Solveig represents the awakening of summer, symbolizing renewal, vitality, and the strength that accompanies new beginnings.
 
On the obverse, Solveig is depicted as a radiant Sun goddess accompanied by a powerful bear, a symbol of courage and resilience. She wields an axe and is dressed in warrior attire featuring a leather skirt, body straps, iron epaulettes, and bracelets that emphasize her formidable presence.
 
The Sowilo rune, prominently displayed, represents warmth, life force, and rebirth, reinforcing her connection to energy and triumph.
 
The reverse showcases Germania Mint’s iconic double-headed eagle intricately merged with Solveig’s sacred animal, the bear. The central shield bears the year of issue, metal specification, and denomination, surrounded by detailed Germanic runes that enhance the mythological depth of the design. Designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, this release is limited to 25,000 pieces and is accompanied by an official Certificate of Authenticity.
